Harry Chapin Food Bank Donation
Storm Smart Industries recently made a contribution through the WINK Feeds Families program to a local food bank. The Harry Chapin Food Bank of SW Florida serves the five county area of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades. They distribute food to needy families through a network of church food pantries, neighborhood centers, disaster relief agencies, and other organizations.
Storm Smart president Brian Rist, along with WINK Chief Meteorologist Jim Farrell, presented a check for more than $3,000 to Chapin Food Bank representative Fred Richards. The money was raised by Storm Smart's employees to help those in need this holiday season. The event was taped by WINK TV and aired in a segment on WINK news.
The Harry Chapin Food Bank serves over 20,000 people each month. If you'd like to help them help others, or want more information on this very worthy cause, follow this link to their website.
