FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 3, 2017) — Storm Smart, the largest manufacturer and installer of code-approved hurricane protection products in Florida, has secured its first licensed distributor — Storm Smart of Southeast Florida Inc. in West Palm Beach, headed up by president Ken Rayner. The distributor sells, services and maintains all products manufactured by Storm Smart from its 60,000-square-foot manufacturing plant at its headquarters in Fort Myers, where more than 150 people are employed.
Storm Smart of Southeast Florida is now authorized to offer products and services related to storm protection, home technology, energy efficiency and solar solutions for residential and commercial customers throughout the region.
“As a customer on three prior projects, I was drawn to Storm Smart’s commitment to producing top-of-the- line products and the best possible service.” Rayner said. “Now, we can provide the same quality and care to South Florida residents and businesses rather quickly.”
Although West Palm Beach was largely spared by Hurricane Matthew’s destruction in October, there were many property owners who reported wind damage.
“After Matthew, a lot of homeowners and businesses are rethinking their hurricane protection strategies because you never know where a Category 4 storm like that will eventually rip through,” said Brian Rist, president and CEO of Storm Smart. “People want some peace of mind that their properties are protected, especially those thousands who spent the night in shelters and had no idea what they would find when they went home the next day.”
Rist is licensed as a Certified General Contractor, Building Inspector, Aluminum Contractor, Mobile Home Installation Contractor, Lead Abatement Removal Contractor and a Certified Hurricane Shelter Evaluator. Storm Smart of Southeast Florida is located at 4047 Okeechobee Boulevard, Suite 106, in West Palm Beach.
The showroom is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (877) 212-5453. Online at StormSmartSE.com.
