How to help local businesses and non-profits in this time of crisis

Recently, Storm Smart organized a series of public service announcements to educate and inform the Southwest Florida community.

The third in the series features Southwest Florida Community Foundation Executive Director & CEO Sarah Owen and Storm Smart Executive Chairman Brian Rist discussing how the community can donate to help local businesses and non-profit organizations during the Coronavirus pandemic.

These PSAs will air on television stations in Southwest Florida as a reminder to stay calm, stay safe and stay strong. As the coronavirus pandemic disrupts our daily lives, the Storm Smart PSAs reminds everyone to support local businesses, help neighbors, maintain proper hygiene, and donate to local food pantries.

"We purchased our Storm Smart hurricane screens last year for peace of mind during hurricane season. Little did we know that we would use them almost every day all year round! They not only offer protection in the event of powerful storms but they provide daily shade in the late afternoon sun as well as rain protection during afternoon showers, allowing us to use our lanai as an integrated outdoor living space. We love them and everyone who sees them, wants them."
